DARIUSZ KOWALSKI
Graduate of the Actor’s Faculty of State School of Theatre in Wrocław, since 1998 has been performing in the New Theatre in Łódź. Here, he played the role of Kozłowski in Prorok Ilja (The Prophet Ilja) by Słobodzianek dir. Mikołaj Grabowski, the sailor in Sen pluskwy (the Bedbug’s dream) of the same author, dir. Kazimierz Dejmek, as well as the role of Rozenkranc in Hamlet - the last performance by Kazimierz Dejmek, completed by Maciej Prus. He can be proud of copious theatre creations, from Rogożyn, via Płatonov, to Papkin, currently he appears in: Małe zbrodnie małżeńskie (The Small Marital Crimes) by Schmitt, dir. Katarzyna Deszcz, as well as: Brygada szlifierza (The Cutter’s Brigade) by Karhab, dir. Remigiusz Brzyk. His most popular films are: Komornik (Bailiff) by Feliks Falk and Strajk (Revolution) by Volker Schloendorff, additionally he appears in theatre spectacles and the series (for the last few years he has been regularly performing in the series Plebania (Vicarage). Recently he has been cooperating with the National Institute of Fryderyk Chopin, sparing his voice to the multimedia presentations in the currently developed Compositor’s Museum.
