MARCIN WOLAK

The graduate of music studies at Music Academy in Kraków, in the Prof. Helena Szubert- Słysz’s class of solo singing and organ class. In the academic year 1990/91 holder of the scholarship of the Ministry of Culture and Art for the distinctive scholarly results and artistic successes. Furthermore, he was awarded scholarship of the European Mozart Academy (1994/1995), the International Bach Academy, as well as Haendel Academy (Germany). He participated in numerous festivals, both: Polish and foreign ones, among others: “Wratislavia Cantans”, Music in Old Kraków, Organ Music Days in Kraków, The Early Music Festival in Stary Sącz, J.S. Bach Festival in Wrocław, Gaude Mater in Częstochowa, Dresdner Music Festspiele- Dresden, Festival of Polish Music in Locum (Germany), Maggio Mussicale Fiorentino-Florence, the Mozart Festival in Budapest and Prague. Performed with many philharmonic orchestras not only in Europe, but also in the USA and the South Korea. Prepared copious archival recordings for the Polish Radio and is still working as a soloist with the Polish Radio Choir. Since 1997 has been working as the lecturer at the Music Academy in Kraków.
