Aleksander Szewczenko
He studied bajan (Russian type of accordion) in Ukraine. He is a laureate of numerous accordion and conducting contests in Russia. The way he plays the accordion is breathtaking. He played in Germany, Great Britain, Holland, Italy, Japan, Russia, Sweden, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. He performs as a soloist and a chamber musician. He belongs to numerous Viennese ensembles and cooperates with famous Viennese theatres: Burgtheater, Theater in der Josefstadt, Theater an der Wien, Volkstheater, Volksoper. He is a constant member of "Ensemble Klesmer Wien" and "Vienna Klezmer Trio". In 2008 Aleksander Szewczenko and Maciej Gołębiowski founded the ensemble "Klezmer Reloaded".
Maciej Gołębiowski
He studied clarinet at Music Academy in Katowice and at Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Graz (Austria). He is a finalist of numerous contests and a scholarship holder of the Mayor of Częstochowa, Junge Münchner Philharmonie and International Festival Junger Künstler in Bayreuth (Germany). In 2005-2006 he worked on performing of original Mozart’s pieces for basset clarinet and result of his work was registered on a CD „Klarnet basetowy – Mozart w oryginale” („Basset clarinet – original Mozart”), which he also performed during the inaugural concert of Viennese Mozart’s Year as well as in many philharmonic halls in Poland. While cooperating with Leon Pollack’s "Ensembles Klesmer Wien" he discovered the beauty of traditional klezmer music and he was recognised as the most popular clarinettist of word music. At present he a soloist of "Ensembles Klesmer Wien" and a co-founder of the ensemble "Kapelush". He performs with Aleksander Szewczenko and as a guest musician with Marwana Abado. He participated in the production of Joshua Sobol’s Ghetto in Stadttheater in Klagenfurt (Austria) as well as in the production of Alma.
