Joanna Grocholska
Joanna Grocholska is a second year student of Karol Lipiński Music Academy in Wrocław, in a vocal class of Prof. Agata Młynarska-Klonowska. She has received commissions from Vice-Chancellor of Music Academy in Wrocław and Mayor of Wrocław. She is the laureate of numerous prizes and distinctions: 3rd prize at Franciszka Platówna National Vocal Competition in Wrocław (2006); the winner of 21st Biennale of the International Vocal Competition of Mikuláš Schneider-Trnavský in Trnava (Slovakia 2010); special prize at „An evening song” Moniuszko International Competition in Białystok (2011). She cooperates with the Artistic Agency Pro Musica and Ricordanza Orchestra. She performed both in Poland and abroad with such renowned conductors as Bogusław Dawidow, Alan Urbaniak, Małgorzata Sapiecha-Muzioł, Hubert Prochota, Małgorzata Diakun, Stefano Bevier and Silvano Frontalni. She has participated in master courses with Drahomira Mičkowa, Antoanetta Shekerdzieva, Carol Richardson-Smith, Helena Łazarska, Stefania Kaluza, Agata Młynarska-Klonowska, Ella Susmanek, Izabella Kłosińska, Urszula Kryger and Andrzej Dobber. She has also participated in master courses of vocal stagy interpretation with Andreas Baumann from Hochschule für Music Carl Maria von Weber from Dresden (Germany). As a soloist she has performed in numerous projects taking place both in Poland and abroad, among others: in the Munich Philharmonic, Theater Neue Flora in Hamburg and Berliner Dom. She had the opportunity to perform with Cristiano Lanza, a renowned Italian tenor in the frames of the concert Die große Giuseppe Verdi Nacht. In her repertoire there are both opera and oratorio pieces. She performed in the Polish premiere of D. Scarlatti’s opera Tolomeo et Alessandro ovvero La Corona disprezzata.
