Tomasz Krzysica
He graduated from Music Academy in Gdańsk. As a student he participated in master courses both in Poland and abroad, with such prominent artists as Fedora Barbieri, Rolando Panerai, Siegfried Lorentz and Ryszard Karczykowski. He is the laureate of: Ada Sari International Singing Competition in Nowy Sącz (3rd and Special Prize, 1999), “Rosetum” International Opera Voices Competition in Milano (1st Prize, 2001) and Stanisław Moniuszko International Vocal Competition in Warsaw (2nd and Special Prize, 2001). In 2001 he was also awarded “Premio Basiola”, an Italian critics prize for the most interesting artistic personality of Italian vocal contests. His debute role was Lensky in P. Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin in Baltic Opera. Since 2000 he has been cooperating with Warsaw Chamber Opera, where he performed as Tamino in Magic Flute, Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte, Ottavio in Don Giovanni, Belmonte in the Abduction from the Seraglio, Lensky in Eugene Onegin, Nemorin in Mission of Love. In 2001 he was invited to perform in the premiere of Verdi’s Ottelo as Cassio in Theatre du Capitole in Toulouse. He also cooperates with Teatr Wielki – Opera Narodowa in Warsaw. His repertoire includes great cantata-oratorio pieces of such composers as J. S. Bach, W. A. Mozart. He performed in Théatre des Champs-Elysées, at the Festival in Nantes accompanied by French National Orchestra conducted by Charles Dutoit and at the Festival in Saint-Denis conducted by Kurt Mazur. He took part in the premiere of Kilar’s Magnificat and in the concert series Missa pro pace. Tomasz Krzysica gives regular concerts in numerous philharmonic halls in Poland and within the most important Polish music festivals such as: Wratislavia Cantans, Mozart Festival, Prague Music Festival, International Festival Sacrum-non profanum in Trzęsacz. He collaborates with many distinguished conductors such as: A. Wit, K. Kord, J. Katlewicz, J. Maksymiuk, T. Bugaj, Jose Maria Florencio, J. Kasprzyk, S. Stuligrosz, W. Michniewski, W. Rajski, T. Wojciechowski. He performed with K. Ricciarelli, D. Hvorostowski, C. Gallardo-Domas, V. Galouzin, U. Kryger, A. Kruszewski and I. Kłosińska.
