Katarzyna Trylnik
The greatly recognized Polish born soprano Katarzyna Trylnik began her formal musical education at the age of six playing the piano. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in 1999, where she studied voice with professor Halina Słonicka. She is the winner of many international vocal competitions including the 7th Ada Sari International Vocal Artistry Festival and Competition in Nowy Sącz in 1997 (Special Merit Award), the 32nd International Antony Dvořák Vocal Competition in Karlovy Vary in 1997 (2nd prize), the 3rd Stanisław Moniuszko Interational Vocal Competition in Warsaw in 1998. She is also the finalist of the 27th International Voice competition in Toulouse and the 7th International Voice Competition in Bilbao. The part of Zerlina in Don Giovanni was her artistic debut at Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera (2002). It was the beginning of the still ongoing cooperation with the most important opera theatre in Poland. Katarzyna Trylnik performed in opera theatres in Brema, Munich and Frankfurt. She sang on stages of Augsburg, Dubai and Moscow (the Bolshoi Theatre), Münster, Paris, Vilinus and Sicily and in the majority of Polish philharmonic and concert halls. Her constantly expanding repertoire of oratorios and cantatas spans from baroque to the contemporary. The most important concerts of Katarzyna Tylnik include Wilhelm Tell opera in Teatr Wielki - Polish National Opera (2008) and the inaugurations of artistic seasons of the Polish Radio Orchestra. She has worked with many conductors including: Łukasz Borowicz, Roland Böer, Valery Gergiev, Jacek Kaspszyk, Kazimierz Kord, Tadeusz Kozłowski, Carlo Montanaro, Michał Nesterowicz, Marek Pijarowski, Modestas Pitrenas, Jerzy Salwarowski, Ruben Silva, Antoni Wicherek, Antoni Wit and Tadeusz Wojciechowski, as well as with famous directors: Marta Domingo, Achim Freyer, Mariusz Treliński and Keith Warner.
